The first post-1993 case against a serving Sultan has gone to full trial. The verdict will remain, forever, a signpost to guide future litigation.

MALAYSIA’S Constitution is unique in that it allows civil and criminal actions to lie against a serving Head of State.

Subject to the special provisions of Articles 181-183, civil and criminal actions can be commenced against the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and the state Rulers.

Our Comment:

1. We believe that Abdullah Haji Ahmad Badawi will restore the original rights and powers of the DYMM SPB YDPA and Malay Rulers by 10-Nov-08, as we have requested earlier.

2. Once he has done so, we will be his Guardians from anything so that no one can take away the premiership from him until he so wishes.

3. This is our final decision and no one can change that except Allah s.w.t.

4. If anyone does not agree, let Allah s.w.t. decide their fates and the fate of this country.
