It's not wrong for Muslims to have different views on certain issues but it should not lead to a split among them, said Datuk Seri Najib Razak in Pekan yesterday. He said those who had differing opinions should not resort to actions that were prohibited by Islam, including making slanderous remarks or lying to bring each other down.

Here are some family advise for Raja Petra, if he cares to listen.
1. Najib is right in making the call for unity. This is one of the pre-requisites of being a good leader. Bad leaders always create chaos, confusion and fear among the followers.
2. Islamic Scholars take years to study, comprehend, absorb and implement the exemplary and wise Islamic Governance as shown by Rasulullah s.a.w. and His Companions r.a. They are our best generation and model. Does Raja Petra think that with a mere few words/sentences/paragraphs, he can summarize and paint a true and complete picture of them? We think not. His writings on Islam lack the credibility and essence in the subject matter.
Mind you that any form of denigration or ridicule on Rasulullah s.a.w., His Family and His Companions r.a. is a big sin, however small it may be. That's why Islamic Scholars do not simply make unscrupulous and uncontrolled statements about them.
3. We despise Dr Mahathir not because of him as a person but because of what he has done to our family, Malaysia and her citizens. If Raja Petra can still kiss his hand, then something is really really wrong here. We have X-rayed Raja Petra and found that a few of Dr Mahathir's devils are following Raja Petra around wherever he goes. They tried to harm us yesterday but to no avail. So, we strongly recommend that Raja Petra quickly seek treatment before it is too late.
Now, we are also thinking of Tengku Razaleigh. Will he befall the same fate as Raja Petra when he meets with Dr Mahathir?
4. Raja Petra said to Hamid Albar not to be Allah s.w.t.'s Assistant. Every averagely knowledgeable Muslim knows that this is 'shirk'. Why bring this up? We should not dwell on critical matters that can stray the 'Aqidah' of the Muslims, taking the lessons from what Allah s.w.t. forbids us to not even approach fornication, let alone do it. So, stay away from harmful statements that can threaten the faith.
5. Does Raja Petra wants Allah s.w.t. to directly talk to him like Prophet Moses a.s.? Maybe only then Raja Petra will know whether he is right or wrong. Nowadays, we settle such matters in the Syariah Courts. Can Raja Petra do that and not leave it to Allah s.w.t. to decide?
6. Raja Petra mentioned Hell in his article on Altantuya's murder. Only Allah s.w.t. can decide who goes to Hell and who does not. So, in this latest article of his, who is playing God?
All of the above shows that there is something terribly wrong with Raja Petra's psychological and spiritual states. It would not be a surprise if he may even give our name(s) to Dr Mahathir, be it directly or indirectly. Go get treatment immediately.

I have to agree with you. I used to respect him at one point, but now he is making claims on matters which he has no authority on. We Muslims should always be moderate in our actions and not go overboard as he has done. He even made some racist statement today regarding the Indian Muslims. Some readers seemed very unhappy about it. The sad thing is, he seemed to be proud of his actions of late.

Thanks for your comments. You seem like a wise person.
Anyway, Raja Petra is family. We just can't throw him away like that. On the other hand, we also do not want him to be a 'loose cannon'. We must forgive him as he is not in his normal psychological & spiritual state right now, if you know what we mean. Until he seeks treatment, it gets worse and affects the people he loves around him.
He needs a lot of soul searching and purification of the heart to start with. Next is to fully understand the concept of learning. A knowledgeable person may not know his/her strengths and weaknesses but a wise person does. We recommend him to sit in front of a credible Guru and learn the whole volume of 'Ihya' Ulumiddin' sincerely. This should resolve the problem. We have been learning Islam since 1975 and there is no end to that. To date we have 5 'real' Gurus to guide us. Hopefully it is not too late for him yet at 58, whereas he should have started it at 40.
If every Muslim can put Islam above everything else, then there will be no question of racism. Every Muslim brother and sister in this world are our brethrens. We are in the group called 'Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jama'ah', as in the videos of the Spread Of Islam In Java. Not only that, they will know how to respect plants, animals and even a speck of dust.
With due respect to the Shi'ah, we have to be united to confront a common enemy i.e. the enemies of Islam.

Raja Petra is a true muslims. Through his writings many non muslims now able to see Islam as a beautiful religion.
Raja Petra is not God, so if he offended Indian Muslims through his latest writings that only mean he err as a human. Let's argue or debate intelligently through the subject.
Raja Petra never did insult Islam if your read his all articles properly. nly that his articles is though provoking. He is only using his akal fikiran that God gave him the best he could to get to understand the whatever the logic behind. He is the type of person not taking any instructions blindly unless justified with logic and true human understanding.
Nabi Ibrahim has been summoned by God to sacrifice his childs by God to determine his true submission to HIM and he did. What if the summon did not come from God then. Would then we said that Nabi Ibrahim ignorance to question the rationale a stupidity ?.
If i likened Nabi Ibrahim to Raja Petra, then i know Raja Petra will not do it given the above circumstances. I bet he would question for the logic behind such request. I don't think GOD would be upset as he was given the akal fikiran and free-will which he made use and not following bluntly. God is maha penyayang and mah pemgampun so challenging God is not a big sin. Pls understand that.
If i am not mistaken all religions lead to One God on different paths.

I totally disagree with you on Najis. Najis should step down as his hands too are tained with blood. Najis is a demon is the making. He has sold his soul to the devil.
Islam has been hijacked by UMNO. Raja Petra is trying to undo it, Raja Petra did not anyway insult Islam or Nabi Muhammad. Pls help to get him out of ISA is you have the power to do so. Also do cast away all the devils you mentioned that Mamak Kutty unleashed on him.

1. Raja Petra is a Muslim alright. We don’t ever doubt that.
2. Of course he is not God. This should not have been brought up at all in the first place. He may have made a few mistakes but the worst is that he does not want to listen to us.
3. He has insulted Islam, especially on the veil issue. Please read our blog and also at www.malaysiawaves.com, www.antiantihadeeth.blogspot.com and www.zaharuddin.net (English articles), amongst them.
4. One can be thought provoking but in Islam, there is a strict discipline when indulging in an intellectual discourse. Matters of faith are not debatable, especially among the laymen. Only matters on the branches of knowledge can.
5. Of course Prophet Abraham a.s. MUST obey the commands of Allah s.w.t. In fact, all Prophets a.s. did. Now, since we have no more Prophets a.s. now except one (Prophet Khidr a.s.), we must follow the ’ulama’s’ (Islamic Scholars). Why? Because Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. said that the ’ulama’s’ are the inheritors of the Prophets a.s., i.e. the credible ones of course.
6. So, if Raja Petra used logic on faith matters, then that might not always work. So, the best approach is to not dwell on them. If he still insists, he has to study ‘Ilm Al-Kalam’, amongst them. Then, many M-T readers would not be able to follow his reasoning anymore.
7. All religions may not lead to One God. So, we will not dwell on this. Suffice for us to say that Islam does not enforce any human being to embrace her. Once embraced, Islam forbids anyone from leaving her. In fact, this is for his/her own good and Islam saves him/her. He/she does so on his/her own free will to embrace Islam.
8. You do not know that Dr Mahathir & cohorts are framing Najib also. Najib has to realize this and align himself with Abdullah (Team A). If not, he will also go down the drain like the rest of them.
9. UMNO uses Islam as a convenience. If it conveniences them, then they will use it. If not, they will chuck it away, but not the UMNO back then during the times of Abdullah’s grandfather. In addition, they do not realize that they have insulted Islam with their ‘Hadhari’ label. For this insult alone, they are paying the price right now.
10. As for his ISA release and Dr Mahathir’s devils, please read our blog later today on our comments to Marina’s posting.
